Jaclyn Sallee

President and CEO - Koahnic Broadcast Corporation

As Koahnic Broadcast Corporation and KNBA’s President and CEO, Sallee provides leadership for all of Koahnic’s operations. These include the national programming division that produces Native America Calling, National Native News, and INDIGEFI; Native Voice One; The RIVR; and KNBA. 

Jaclyn, who is Inupiaq, oversees national and local development efforts and has seen increased station carriage of growing products resulting in over 350 radio stations, repeaters and translators throughout the United States and Canada.  Jaclyn’s experience includes service on several community and industry boards and committees including the Alaska Press Club, Native Public Media, YWCA, The CIRI Foundation Board of Directors, The Foraker Group, Alaska Broadcasters Association’s Equal Opportunity Committee and several others.  She has developed many award-winning programs including Earthsongs, Native Word of the Day, Stories of our PeopleNational Native News, and KNBA news programs. Jaclyn is instrumental in breaking new ground in developing Koahnic’s first ever international broadcast in multiple languages. Jaclyn works in sustaining Alaska's Native languages through creative radio programming and is a recipient of the Award for Media Excellence from Native Public Media, YWCA's Women of Achievement Award, and Anchorage Chamber of Commerce's “Top 40 Under 40” Award.
